Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric, is the manufacturing headquarters for both Torchmate® and Vernon Tool® branded product lines. We manufacture CNC plasma cutting machines for two distinct markets: pipe profiling (Vernon Tool), and plate cutting (Torchmate).


RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to the following)

  • Directs development and achievement of business plans and strategies consistent with short and long-range objectives of the company.
  • Analyzes and appraises, regularly and systematically, the effectiveness of all operations to ensure that established objectives will be met, that company polices will be observed, and that prompt corrective action will be taken when necessary.
  • Provides leadership, direction and support for all departments, as well as supports and promotes the company mission, vision and values.
  • Directs immediate subordinates in the management of their assigned areas to ensure that their responsibilities to attain objectives and satisfactory operation and performance are met in a way that is consistent with established policies and programs.
  • Develops management talents necessary to obtain short and long-range goals by effective direction, counseling, and training according to an overall manpower plan. Approves or recommends approval of organization plan. Approves or recommends approval of organization structure and manning requirements.
  • Reviews and evaluates contracts and appropriations and expenditure request submitted by immediate subordinates, approving those within authority.
  • Reviews reports on manufacturing activities, performance, and results and initiates action to correct deviations and variables as to schedules, excessive costs, material shortages, or other deterrent factors.
  • Provides the most reliable projections of future performance that can be developed, as well as reliable reports of current performance. Ensures that this information is communicated to the Corporate Executive team and to those responsible for management reporting of long and/or short-range planning.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.
  • Establishment and monitoring of objectives and performance metrics for Production, Engineering, Sales, Quality Assurance, Accounting, and Administration.
  • Directs the continual improvement of production, quality, and efficiency to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Directs the implementation of appropriate quality assurance standards and utilization
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships along with sales management.
  • Focuses on production planning and cost containment to maximize the benefit of the Company’s resources during the completion of projects.
  • Develops strategies, priorities, and an annual sales plan balancing long-term and short-term volume and profit growth.
  • Delivers profitability objectives as he/she makes resource allocation decisions and manages pricing, production costs, and company spending.
  • Recognizes new market opportunities and develops strategies to penetrate and generate profitable sales within these markets.
  • Oversees hiring, employee relations, and employee development activities, ensuring an effective and productive workforce.
  • Promotes and ensures a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.
  • Maintains operational lines of communication to facilitate efficiency while enhancing the spirit of teamwork throughout the company’s different departments and divisions.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years’ experience in a progressive management role
  • 15+ years’ work experience within Operations/ Engineering and/or Sales
  • Exceptional skills in Business Analysis, Finance, and Operations Management with ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to both superiors and subordinate personnel
  • Knowledge of management principles
  • Possessing confidence, experience, and skills to support company activities
  • Good communicator, active listener, and possess strong decision-making skills
  • Good team player and self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of tooling, welding and robotics
  • Implementation of appropriate quality assurance standards and utilization of modern lean manufacturing systems
