Processing, Estimating and Proposal Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work in conjunction with Sales to obtain and define entire quote specifications.
  • Scheduling and follow-up on all proposals to guarantee timely submittal.
  • Assistance of Mechanical/Controls Engineering Staff to prepare proposals for new equipment.
  • Development and maintenance of machine processing documentation formats for formal presentation.
  • Development and maintenance of formulas (models) for estimating purposes.
  • Development and maintenance of database for costs on common components/equipment.
  • Staying abreast of state-of-the-art industry technology.
  • Development and maintenance of machine processing methods.
  • Utilize common machine and electrical processing philosophies to develop a product base of equipment for various manufacturing systems (i.e. welding, assembly and machining).
  • On-going review of specifications of major customers and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Special assignments based on general workload conditions.



  Education: High School Diploma required

                    Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field or business highly preferred

  Experience: 3 years as machine designer, 1 year as processing engineer, and 2 years previous experience in similar position. (With 4 year degree)


                      5 years as machine designer, 2 years as processing engineer, and 3 years

                     previous experience in similar position. (Without 4 year degree)

                     Must be computer literate

                     Must know Autocad

                     Must know advanced algebra and drafting techniques.
