Technical Sales Representative (New Orleans, LA)

PURPOSE: Employees in this position actively manage an assigned Territory by aggressively engaging all customer with the delivery of Lincoln’s total value proposition resulting in increased sales.  Additionally the TSR will provide technical support, demonstrations and training to drive sales.  Finally the TSR will drive corporate and regional strategic initiatives with a focus on growing sales.



  • Develops and builds knowledge of business, financials, products/services, market or account needs.
  • Begins to manage and grow assigned territory.
  • Works with moderately complex territory/accounts and products/services, sales or account management processes.
  • Provides technical support, demonstrations and training where needed and where it will drive a positive sales results.
  • Has direct contact with clients and may receive guidance and coaching from more senior TSR’s or Management.
  • Recognized as an expert in several areas of Lincoln products.
  • Drives corporate and regional strategic initiatives with focus on growing Top Line, Alloy, Automation, and High Technology Products.
  • Provides distributor training, supports and promotes corporate distributor programs and create your own targeted programs to drive distributor sales and increase share in this channel.
  • Drive Educational Program to all major schools and Unions to increase Lincoln share, presence and total sales
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.



  • Degree in Engineering, Sales or Marketing required
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in sales including cold calling
  • Demonstrated communication skills verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with all levels of client up to CEO and ability to recognize when to bring Senior Lincoln Management into the sale
  • Capable of cold calling and can typically close sales with assistance from Supervisor or a more senior level TSR.
  • Has knowledge of top selling Lincoln products.
  • Position may require overnight travel.  Varies based upon location.
