Mechanical Designer

Job Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients together with sales to identify and determine mechanical applications and requirements.
- Gather information and pricing for proposal process to include site visits as needed
- Communicate with customers to maintain relationships and provide timely and effective support as required.
- Collaborate with Sales team by providing competitive design solution during the requirements clarification and bidding process.
- Conducting research on the best practices on the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems.
- Manage communications, messages, data, and documenting of interpersonal interactions with colleagues, vendors, and customers; so clarity of facts is easily maintained and quickly recalled.
- Planning and executing mechanical 3D designs, 2D drawing, and component specification by using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
- Develop and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Educational:
- Bachelor’s degree and above in mechanical design/engineering
Experience:
- 5 years or more experience with the mechanical design of automotive industry, and no less than 2 years of experience in working independently and delivering part of the comprehensive automotive design project which should be above 3 million USD.
- Sound knowledge and experience of design and engineering principles and best practices.

Training:
Structural Engineering, CNC, CAD, Robotics, Machine Design, Applications in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics of Material, Material Selection, Simulation Analysis for Mechanical Engineers, Vibrations, Dynamics of 3D Motion. Project management. Lean manufacturing, problem-solving, commercial awareness, attention to details, critical thinking, collaboration and communication.
