Position Summary: Perform a variety of machine set-up, machine operations, and material handling tasks. Reviews program and print to understand tooling needs and machine set up. Runs parts off on machine and do basic inspection of parts to print.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic machine set-up duties including cleaning;
  • Prepare and complete routine administrative paperwork;
  • Prepare tooling and materials for machining;
  • Detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel;
  • Be able to operate various CNC equipment to produce parts to print drawings;
  • Maintain machinery and equipment through basic upkeep;
  • Lift and manipulate heavy objects;
  • Read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required;
  • Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives; and
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; temperature in the machine shop may fluctuate with the seasons as the production area is not air conditioned.
