Position Summary: Performs custodial duties and building maintenance.

 

Role qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Proper time management skills
  • Able to use forklift, walk behind forklift, and man lift

 

Position responsibilities:

  • Cleaning shop floors with floor cleaner
  • Empty trash cans
  • Collecting shavings and metal for recycle
  • Proper weighing and documentation of recycled metals
  • Clean the shop restrooms daily
  • Collects other recycled material
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 company policy including forklift inspections daily
  • Check and resolve issues from maintenance request log
  • Changing light bulbs, minor repairs, etc.
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Inspect ladders, fire extinguisher, and emergency lights
  • Assist in sprinkler testing
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of 6S standards
  • Lock out tag out procedures

  • Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training
