Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to the following)

PM level 2 will be responsible for small projects with the support of the PM team to help guild them through the PM process. As the PM gets more comfortable large projects will be assigned. The PM 2 will also work with the team to improve our process’s to help stream line the PM program.


  1. Follow Established Procedures
    1. Follow procedures described in Work Instruction WI-39 unless otherwise instructed by management.


  1. Customer Support
    1. Maintain and resolve issues lists with current and recent projects.
    2. Maintain schedules of projects and keep customer informed.
    3. Coordinate and schedule meetings with customer and Tennessee Rand personnel.


  1. Project Release
    1. Attend project release “kick-off” meeting.
    2. Resolve any issues determined during the kick-off meeting, internally and/or with the customer.
    3. Send order acknowledgement to customer.
    4. Maintain cost tracking and control worksheet.
    5. Submit scheduling information for project to be added to company schedule task sheet.
    6. Create master project schedule (Microsoft Project or Smart sheet).
    7. Assemble documents into project binder on line and Hard copy as needed.


  1. Management of Project Internally
    1. Resolve issues determined during project kick-off meetings and design concept meetings, internally and/or with customer.
    2. Coordinate and attend internal and customer design review meetings.
    3. Create project issues list at or before customer design review, and maintain regularly throughout all phases of the project until completion.
    4. Coordinate the resolution of technical or cost issues caused by changes at any point during the project, internally and/or with the customer.
    5. Adjust master project schedule and company task sheet as needed to reflect changes determined during design, assembly, integration, and installation, or caused by the customer.
    6. Resolve with management any internal department schedule issues caused by changes in the project schedule.
    7. Resolve with customer and internal management any possible due date change requirements.
    8. Coordinate an integration kick-off meeting.
    9. Document and communicate to the customer the quantity of components required for each phase of integration (development, sample runs, run-offs, etc.) and document and inform all involved parties of problems due to low quantities or late deliveries.
    10. Coordinate customer sample production and component inventories.  The Integration Project Leader should be informed in advance about these activities and component availability.
    11. Coordinate internal system review (run-off) of project in integration phase and complete quality assurance forms, a minimum of 3 days before customer run-off of project if possible.
    12. Coordinate customer run-off activities.
    13. Submit requests to the CAD Detailing Team for documentation to be generated and delivered to the customer.
    14. Document shipping approval and then inform shipping personnel.


  1. Management of Project Externally
    1. Arrange with the customer to have the facilities ready for receipt of the equipment.  Provide information to Shipping Manager to arrange shipping the equipment to the customer.
    2. Initiate an installation planning meeting between the Integration Project Leader and the customer at the start of the installation phase.  Attend this meeting and installation/in-plant run-off phase when possible.
    3. Update project issues lists as necessary to document project requirements during installation and run-off phases, until final customer approval is obtained.
    4. Document customer approval and then inform billing personnel.


  1. Analysis of Project
    1. Update project cost tracking sheets on a weekly schedule and submit to management.
    2. Conduct closed order analysis at conclusion of project.
    3. Cooperate with Account Manager in conducting customer satisfaction surveys.
