Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and simulate robotic paths using ABB Robot studio for ABB robots and Robo Guide for FANUC robots and validate them for real-world deployment.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in mechanical design principles with demonstrated experience in tooling and fixture development and a sound understanding of welding systems and automation products for welding
  • Design and simulate complete robotic work cells using Visual Components, including layout planning, material flow, and cycle time analysis and perform virtual trouble shooting and optimization of robotic systems.
  • Integrate robotic systems with PLC-based automation, including writing and debugging ladder logic (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB).
  • Develop custom software tools or scripts to support automation workflows (e.g., Python, C#, or Java).
  • Conduct feasibility studies, digital twin simulations, and virtual commissioning.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringMechatronicsRobotics, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of design principles and documented expertise to create tooling and fixtures for welding applications. 
  • Hands-on experience with ABB Robot Studio, Robo Guide and Visual Components.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming, especially ladder logic.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., PythonC#Java, or C++).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IPProfinetModbus) and using software development kits to write plugins for robot.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Understanding of the welding process and business
  • Experience with digital twin and virtual commissioning.

    Knowledge of robot kinematicspath optimization, and cycle time reduction.

    Exposure to vision systems, Laser scanner systems, safety systems, and HMI development and other automation environments

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
