Digital Product Information Management Specialist

PURPOSE: This role will manage global digital product information programs from initiation, to adoption to ongoing governance. It includes planning, delivery, client interaction, troubleshooting, and management of project plans, budgets and resources.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the development and roll out of global standards and workflows for product data within Lincoln Electric’s product information management (PIM) solution to ensure output meets quality standards.
  • Establish PIM data governance criteria & processes to ensure on-going data integrity while partnering with Lincoln Electric’s Master Data Management (MDM) global teams.
  • Generally works independently with limited supervision.
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Lincoln Electric’s Digital Product Information Strategy to:
    • Create, communicate and manage a prioritized digital product information and services roadmap to key internal and external stakeholders.
    • Translate digital business strategies into product information requirements that help Lincoln Electric achieve desired business outcomes.
    • Provide thought leadership and strategy for product information management across the organization.
    • Partner with stakeholders to adopt significant process, policy, and operational changes.
    • Foster positive and collaborative relationships with Information Technology, Product Management, and Digital Business teams to enable greater throughput and utilization of PIM.
    • Serve as the lead resource for digital product information & services management. Establishes and manage a backlog of features and capabilities for the PIM program.
    • Articulate PIM value proposition to product management and commercial business/ marketing teams to maximize product launches and overall effectiveness.
    • Drive business requirements into product/project scope to ensure solutions align to customer needs.
    • Analyze & report on performance and data quality for digital product information and services.
    • Administer the product information management platform and manage user training & adoption  across the organization.
    • Partner with internal and external customers to understand needs, define project scope and deliver quality results on time and on budget.
    • Collaborate and work with Lincoln Electric’s strategic partners and vendors to administer & execute the PIM program.

  
PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOCUS:

  • Communicate project expectations and progress to core project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion (partner/vendor meetings, team meetings, team meeting minutes, oversight committee meetings, presentations, design reviews, stage gate meetings, emails, phone calls, face-to-face conversations, project documentation, etc.).
  • Continually manage project expectations with Project Team Members and other stakeholders; delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate Project Team members.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope/timeline/cost, identifies potential risks and devises contingency plans; obtains approval for and keeps track of changes to the scope/timeline/cost of the project and escalates as needed.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, project documentation and presentations.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of Lincoln Electric’s goals and strategic objectives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Marketing, Business Systems, Finance, Analytics required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated Enterprise Project Management and Product Management experience typically achieved with five to seven years’ work experience.
  • Prior hands-on experience in the use of MDM tools.
  • Prior hands-on experience in the implementation and/or use of a PIM platform, inRiver expertise a plus.
  • Prior experience in leading product data implementations and integrating with multiple systems is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional projects and ability to work with senior leadership teams to resolve work related issues is required.
  • Superior communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Past experience with gathering voice of customer from internal stakeholders and customers and an understanding of how to evaluate the opportunity/value behind those customer needs is strongly preferred.
