What You Will Do

 

The Engineering Technologist provides technical support to engineers in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. In addition, this role will: 


•    Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation.
•    Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective actions.
•    Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
•    Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
•    Assists in the preparation of documentation.
•    Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
•    Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s Strategy.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree, Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Strong desire to take ownership and drive results. Able to analyze data and drive decision making.
  • Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
