PURPOSE:   The Environmental, Safety & Compliance (ES&C) group is responsible for improving the environmental footprint, health and safety of the Cleveland Operations.   Engineers in the group are responsible for the development, management and implementation of the projects, processes, and programs that drive improved results. 



  • Work on a team in a hands-on environment on projects, programs, and processes designed to continually improve the environmental footprint, reduce injuries and maintain regulatory compliance for Cleveland Operation’s production facilities.
  • Lead the Cleveland Operations as a subject matter expert for Environmental Safety and Compliance.
  • Conduct incident investigations identifying the root cause and response plan.
  • Write formal investigations for significant incidents.
  • Lead the team of ES&C personal, to host and facilitate investigations with the EPA, OSHA, BWC, etc.
  • Identify projects and processes that align with and drive towards the 2025 Higher Standard Goals.
  • Work with project engineers to identify and solve EHS and compliance issues prior to equipment installation.
  • Conduct equipment reviews for new and modified equipment (EC Reviews).
  • Monitor and Implement new regulations to keep the Cleveland Operations into compliance.
  • Update and develop EHS specifications.
  • Support day-to-day production operations on environmental, safety and compliance issues.
  • Support the ISO 14001/45001 programs through involvement in JHA’s, Audits, Compliance, O&T’s, etc.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory agencies and policies ISO, EPA, NEC, NFPA, OHSA, etc.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ of professional experience.
  • Ability to occasionally work off shifts, between facilities in Northeast Ohio, and travel as required (<10%).
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001, EPA, NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Motivated to make a difference by improving Safety and the Environmental footprint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to accept responsibilities with minimal supervision.
