JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Lead support team to drive improvement and standardization of our systems and manufacturing processes for favorable safety, quality, and cost improvements
  • Lead reviews with business stakeholders and translate wants and needs into technical requirements for system improvements
  • Suggest and evaluate system architecture for improvements and sustainability
  • Continuously adapt to business requirements to effectively manage priorities and workload to improve systems
  • Review and own change management of MES SIR changes
  • Drive consistency of business processes across all manufacturing and support areas
  • Lead team to drive industrial engineering principles to our manufacturing flow, layout, visual management, and overall effectivity of our safety, quality, and productivity goals
  • Coach team on application of industrial engineering principles, such as spaghetti diagrams, kanban, data analysis, and other CI/Lean/6Sigma processes
  • Drive continuous improvement in a standard approach across all Consumable manufacturing departments
  • Promote integrating manufacturing processes with technology
  • Identify business and capital improvement opportunities to support the corporate strategic plan, both domestic and international
  • Manage projects and personnel to achieve technical and business results
  • Proactively address environment, ergonomic, and safety issues
  • Keep abreast of technological developments outside Lincoln Electric that could affect global competitiveness and recommend further study or change when appropriate
  • Monitor business plans, market trends, and new product development
  • Support the personal growth of direct reports, both their technical and people skills, to prepare them for future career opportunities
  • Assign personnel to resolve day to day operational problems
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s overall strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Engineering, preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability in personnel and project management, financial analysis, and governmental regulatory issues.
  • Be familiar with products and manufacturing practices employed by Lincoln Electric, its competitors, and customers.
  • Ability to build and maintain superior relationships with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly methods, machining, fabrication, and automation.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to drive process improvements and optimization.
  • Contributes to the development of functional strategy.
