PURPOSE: Assist the manager(s) of Order, Traffic, and Credit in all facets of the International Logistics Operation.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Assist in implementing metrics pertinent to Customer Service & International Logistics for driving departmental goals and processes.
  • Responsible and accountable for all facets of the assigned International Global Team from “Start To Finish”.
  • Communicate with all International customers on order disposition, completion status, changes that occur throughout the order process.
  • Perform detailed reviews with Compliance regarding the acceptance of all forms secured as the result of International transactions, including letters of credit and sight drafts – meeting all critical expiration deadlines.
  • Prepare complex export collection documentation and international invoicing in accordance with the intricacies of foreign trade requirements.
  • Resolve documentation disputes with banks, forwarders, government agencies, and customers, to ensure that the timely collection of shipments are made.
  • Prepare export customs and shipping with ocean and air freight carriers and consolidators.
  • Coordinate with Shipping Department to assure material is ready for loading of containers.
  • Coordinate export packing and staging of inspections with Shipping Department.
  • Play a significant role in making proposals implementing solutions, which improve customer service, improve the flow of material and reduce costs.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn, International Order, Traffic, and Credit collections systems.
  • Excellent leadership and decision making skills.
  • Ability to perform extremely detailed work with a high degree of accuracy in high volume environment.
  • Foreign language desirable.
  • An uncompromising regard for quality and customer service is imperative.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ablility to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of country risk exposure and assessment related to international credit issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to accept responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC equipment as well as an excellent understanding of the SAP software system as it relates to International Logistics.
  • Excellent attendance and “ontime” record.
