Role Purpose
The Senior Indirect Sourcing Manager – Facilities & MRO (Americas) leads category strategy, supplier performance, and sourcing execution across the Americas region (U.S., Canada, Mexico, LATAM). The role includes leadership of a small team of individual contributors located in‑country/region to execute sourcing strategies, ensure service reliability, and optimize total cost of ownership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Strategic Sourcing Leadership
- Lead Facilities and MRO category strategies across the Americas, balancing regional leverage with plant‑level needs.
- Develop and deploy sourcing strategies for facilities services, maintenance, utilities, repair services, and general MRO categories.
- Drive supplier consolidation, standardization, and preferred supplier adoption while protecting safety, reliability, and operational uptime.
- Identify and execute regional and multi‑site sourcing and contracting opportunities.
- Collaborate with global procurement to align suppliers and contracts where appropriate.
- Utilize structured sourcing methodologies including pooling, bundling, total cost of ownership, and lean cost optimization.
2. Team Leadership and Execution Management
- Lead a small team of individual contributors located across the Americas.
- Provide coaching, prioritization, and capability development in sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management.
- Ensure consistent deployment of category strategies and compliance across regional sites.
- Facilitate alignment between regional buyers, plant stakeholders, and global category managers.
3. Procurement Execution and Governance
- Create and maintain strategic sourcing plans for Facilities and MRO categories.
- Lead RFx events, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract execution using the LECO Ariba eSourcing platform.
- Improve cost visibility, demand discipline, and contract compliance in traditionally decentralized spend areas.
- Communicate sourcing strategies, risks, and performance metrics to plant leadership and functional stakeholders.

4. Supplier and Market Management
- Manage supplier performance for cost, quality, safety, responsiveness, and overall service reliability.
- Conduct market analysis to identify supply risks and trends across labor, facilities services, spare parts, and maintenance categories.
- Lead supplier business reviews and ongoing performance management for regional execution.
5. Cross‑Functional Leadership and Digital Enablement
- Partner with Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Facilities to ensure sourcing decisions support reliability and uptime requirements.
- Work closely with EHS, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance and alignment with operational standards.
- Support digital procurement initiatives (catalogs, guided buying, preferred suppliers) in partnership with Procurement Excellence.
- Promote harmonization of specifications and standardization of MRO and facilities services across the region.
Required Skills and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPSM or CIPS certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in Facilities or MRO categories.
- Experience leading small, distributed teams across multiple sites or countries.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures, regulatory environments, and operational models within the Americas.
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Ariba or similar eSourcing tools preferred.
