Lincoln electric has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Global Network Manager. This critical role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and secure global network infrastructure. This role ensures seamless connectivity and optimal performance across all company locations worldwide. The Global Network Manager is also responsible for managing voice communication systems, ensuring reliable and high-quality voice services, and overseeing the shop floor network to support manufacturing and operational processes. This role is critical in driving the reliability and scalability of our network and telecom services to meet current and future business needs.

What you will do:

This Global Network Manager leads a team of network engineers, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and manages vendor relationships to deliver innovative networking, network security, and voice solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. In addition, you will: 


•    Oversee a team of global network professionals responsible for providing the organization with a highly reliable network and telecommunications service.
•    Manage performance and outcomes of the team within their designated discipline function.
•    Develop employees by identifying skill gaps and providing targeted training and development programs.
•    Setting the team’s direction, cultivating a trusting environment, harnessing diverse perspectives, promoting conversation, and encouraging growth innovation.
•    Assess current and future network & voice needs and develop short and long-term strategies to meet those needs.
•    Stay updated with network technology trends and recommend changes or updates as needed.
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative networking, voice, and shop floor network solutions.
•    Support the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
•    Manage and facilitate network & voice projects by creating effective project plans, driving results, and collaborating with relevant departments or suppliers.
•    Collaborate with Information Technology teams, engineering departments, global leadership, and external contractors or partners.
•    Coordinate with sites and site resources to deploy network, firewall, and voice technologies.
•    Identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively with the ability to make timely decisions with limited information.
•    Facilitate business and IT leadership communication to ensure service delivery aligns with strategic objectives and priorities.
•    Document and create standards for network, network security, and voice technologies.
•    Work closely with the IT Security team to ensure network and data security by implementing and managing security measures.
•    Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
•    Accountable for providing critical support outside regular hours and responding to and managing priority (P1) incidents.

Education & Experience Required

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or an equivalent relevant experience is required.
•    A minimum of five to ten years of experience in managing a global team, directing projects, and implementing technologies and strategies.
•    While specific certifications are not mandated, possessing a CCNA certification or additional Cisco certifications would be considered an advantageous qualification.
•    Proficiency in Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), switching technologies, wireless communication systems, Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), firewall implementations, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), network segmentation, and automation processes. Furthermore, expertise includes internet circuits, telecommunications technologies, cloud connectivity solutions, and various network-related hardware intelligence.
•    Experience with cloud and on-prem voice systems is required.
•    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with IT departments, project and application development teams, engineering departments, management, and business partners or suppliers.
•    A comprehensive understanding of the business implications associated with IT infrastructure, security tools, technologies, and policies.
•    Extensive networking experience related to strategy, planning, procurement, maintenance, and monitoring.
•    Experience in network design and migration within large enterprise environments, implementing advanced, complex, and secure networks encompassing both wireless and remote access.
•    Located within driving distance of our corporate location (Euclid, OH), ability to travel internationally, and work within different time zones as necessary.
