Marketing Communications Specialist

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under direct supervision, this position is the pivot point between the product groups and other marketing resources to help bring products to market, increase brand awareness and support sales efforts. 

 

JOB DUTIES and Responsibilities

  • Assists in Managing and coordinating the creation of marketing communications programs and projects that effectively promote the company, its products, and its services to specific vertical market segments.
  • Assists in collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies in support of internal clients’ goals. 
  • Assists in coordinating tactical execution of strategies, including but not limited to, collateral development, campaigns, content creation and deployment and performance measurement. 
  • In conjunction with the Specialist II and/or Manager, acts as pivot point between internal clients/stakeholders and execution teams (internal and external) including creative, web, public relations, social media and influencers.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
     

QUALIFICATIONS (includes education, skills and aptitude)

  • One to three years marketing experience required; B2B marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, and Business, Journalism or comparable discipline is required.
  • Understanding of B2B and B2C communications practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of desktop publishing software
  • Familiar with organizational social media, web content creation and management, analytics, search engine optimization, and online advertising programs.
  • Understanding of welding industry, welding markets and distribution a plus.
  • Possesses developed written and verbal communication skills as well as an ability to works effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to speak Spanish is desirable but not required.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels of the organization.
