Summary
Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Quality Engineer, supporting our Euclid manufacturing headquarters. The Quality Engineer plays a key role in analyzing potential quality problems and working with cross-functional teams in developing permanent improvements. Reports to Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Manager.

What You Will Do
• Proactively gather extensive data and insights essential for conducting a comprehensive analysis. When needed, incorporate statistical sampling techniques to ensure a representative and statistically sound dataset.
• Conduct various Root Cause Analysis and Improvement activities throughout the Cleveland operations. Dive deep into quality issues, utilizing analytical tools and methodologies to uncover the underlying causes of defects.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on effective root cause analysis techniques, statistical methodologies, and SPC, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Apply statistical tools and continuous improvement methodologies to elevate the precision and reliability of analysis, fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.
• Define, troubleshoot, and assist in the resolution of daily production quality problems.
• Facilitate effective resolution of CAPAs.
• Support the new product and process development and work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct studies to assess and improve process capabilities, create FMEAs, perform measurement system analyses to validate the accuracy and consistency of measurement tools.
• Review and evaluate engineering product and process changes.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Engineer I: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quality Management, or a related field and 0+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
i. Assist in assessment, development and implementation of quality control procedures for welding equipment and components.
ii. Conduct analysis of the manufacturing processes, systems and components to ensure compliance with quality standards. Collaborate cross functionally as required.
iii. Collaborate with supervisors and senior engineers to learn and develop skills related to quality control.
• Engineer II: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quality Management, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
i. Conduct assessment, development and implementation of quality control procedures for welding equipment and components.
ii. Conduct analysis of the manufacturing processes, systems and components to ensure compliance with quality standards for components manufacturing and final product assembly. Effective in cross functional collaboration.
iii. Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
• Engineer III: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quality Management, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.
i. Conduct assessment, development and implementation of quality control procedures for welding equipment and components.
ii. Guide development of the manufacturing processes, systems and components to ensure compliance with quality standards for components manufacturing and final product assembly. Facilitates cross functional collaboration.
iii. Works autonomously most of the time. May act as a leader, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, including supervision of a QA group and training of Production and Quality Assurance personnel.
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Management methodologies and tools including Statistical Quality Control, Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement.
• Ability to apply a combination of a knowledge of quality assurance tools, business procedures, part and process measurement techniques, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to a variety of problems.
• Ability to organize, lead, and drive continuous improvement projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate diplomatically with various levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Minitab, as well as production computer systems).
• Selected candidate’s Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experience.
