PURPOSE: Work as a lab technician in Machine R&D commercial products group.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Work in the Machine R & D laboratory assisting in the design, construction, documentation and testing of components, assemblies, and products.
  • Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations.
  • Conducts a variety of standardized tests; may prepare test specimen; sets up and operates standard test equipment; records test data.
  • Extracts engineering data from various prescribed sources; processes the data following well-defined methods; presents the data in prescribed form.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Level II Technician:

            Vocational Training & 3+ years of related experience or,

            High School Diploma or equivalent & 5+ years of experience in related field

  • Electronics experience required, associate degree in electronics preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to handle a constantly changing set of priorities.
  • Ability to use personal computers and common laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics and test specifications.
  • Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
