PURPOSE: The Recruiting Manager, Manufacturing provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision for recruiting services at our largest US locations. This role will be responsible for designing recruitment processes aligned to Lincoln Electric’s hiring strategy for critical manufacturing talent, while implementing policies that encourage employee diversity and identifying strategies to select candidates who will succeed within our company culture. Works as an ambassador to promote our employer brand while managing a team of professional recruiters.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily work of the department and reports on its performance
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations, coaching and development for team

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops attraction strategies to build a robust manufacturing and skilled trade talent pipeline, including employer branding efforts
  • Updates, designs and documents current and new recruiting processes (e.g. staffing forecasts, job application, onboarding processes)
  • Keeps track of and reports recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-hire and cost-per-hire)
  • Builds the company’s network through relationships with high schools, trade schools and other community partners
  • Stays up-to-date on labor legislation and informs recruiters and managers of changes in regulations
  • Reviews recruitment software for improved service (e.g. SEO optimization)
  • Works to understand and share best practices, provides assistance on critical needs and coordinates on national-level initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 5-10 years of recruiting experience required, high volume or agency experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of recruiting team management preferred
  • Continuous Improvement certification preferred
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred; SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of and proven experience in recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies, employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with social media recruitment and high volume recruitment experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR databases, SuccessFactors preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and implement process improvements with sustainable results
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong decision making, supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
