Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

PURPOSE: Responsible for preparation and review / supervision of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement reports that meet the reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and senior management, as well as provide valuable information to shareholders of the Company. Interact with various internal and external customers on a routine basis to provide accurate reporting of financial results. Assist in various strategic or business issues that arise on an ad hoc basis as directed by the Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, Director of Financial Reporting and/or Managers of External and Internal Reporting.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Preparation and review / supervision of documentation necessary to complete SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, proxy), including the XBRL detail tagging process as applicable;
  • Assist in assessment, implementation and compliance with new and proposed accounting and reporting standards;
  • Perform research of technical accounting topics and peer company filing reviews. Present research findings to Manager / Director of Financial Reporting, as well as various levels of management;
  • Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits / quarterly reviews;
  • Review the accounting for various domestic and international holding companies utilizing SAP and HFM software;
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports including ad-hoc requests from senior management.
  • Prepare and review consolidating journal entries during month-end close and help manage monthly close process
  • Preparation and review / supervision of monthly close items such as the Statement of Cash Flows, Stock Compensation and EPS;
  • Preparation and review / supervision of the monthly accounting for the Company’s pension plans and the annual benefit plan financial statements;
  • Interact with senior level management and collaborate with subsidiary units across the globe and corporate personnel.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting;
  • 3 - 5 years public accounting experience, CPA strongly preferred;
  • Must possess strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP. SEC reporting and consolidation accounting experience a plus;
  • Must be highly motivated and possess excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Must possess a high degree of flexibility and demonstrate the ability to perform numerous tasks and assignments concurrently;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Power Point) essential, SAP and HFM knowledge a plus.
