Lincoln Electric has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Technical Analyst, based in our Cleveland headquarters operation. As a Senior Payroll Technical Analyst, you will directly participate in day-to-day payroll processing and related activities for Lincoln Electric’s US-based employees. This role requires a strong understanding of multi-state payroll taxation, laws and compliance as an essential function. The Senior Payroll Technical Analyst will utilize project management skills to achieve recurring deadlines while maintaining internal and quality controls.

What You Will Do

 

The Senior Payroll technical Analyst participates in processing payroll for hourly and salary employees representing multiple locations and subsidiaries, while ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll tax laws, unemployment tax regulations, and other payroll-related legal requirements. Specific responsibilities include:

 
•    Manage payroll tax filings and payments, leveraging ADP Vantage and ADP Tax Smart Compliance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•    Participates in year-end processes, including W-2 production.
•    Assists with payroll and benefits projects, including acquisitions and system integrations.
•    Collaborates and coordinates with various stakeholders, including Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, Legal, and Accounting throughout the year.
•    Assists in the resolution of employee time, pay, benefit deduction, and compensation change issues. 
•    Promotes a robust internal control environment compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements through the documentation of processes and identification and implementation of process improvements.
•    Assists in tax research and implementation of process enhancements to align with evolving tax regulations.
•    Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
•    Becomes proficient in ADP Vantage.
•    Remains current with applicable tax, unemployment, and other payroll laws and regulations.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

 

•    Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience required.
•    Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
•    Experience with ADP Vantage and ADP Tax Smart Compliance preferred.
•    Ability to research, interpret, and apply payroll tax laws and regulations.
•    Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
•    High degree of flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
•    Effective communication and writing skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
•    Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, and Fidelity (Benefits) preferred.
