Senior Supply Management Analyst

PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position supports the Supply Management department by analyzing and reporting all key business functions. Primary areas include the procurement of direct and indirect materials, services, finished products, freight, 3rd party logistics, working capital, compliance, supplier performance, strategic initiatives, and the general management function. Additionally this position will develop professional business relationships internally and externally.



  • Collaborate with Departmental Managers to assemble and distribute a monthly report to leadership.
  • Reviews monthly data from a variety of outside resources and regularly prepares supplier/product usage and market share reports. Analyzes company preference and spend on large orders.
  • Collects information and tracks performance against established set of standards or key performance indicators in order to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Optimizes integration and reporting structures around internal database tools and develops meaningful analyses product utilization and outcome data.
  • Performs comparative assessment and financial impact analyses of competing suppliers’ proposals and contracts in like-to-like and conversion scenarios.
  • Works with service line employees to identify savings and standardization opportunities.
  • May assist with developing annual operations plan and estimating new product costs including economic analyses.
  • Develops knowledge and skills with other business systems to ensure coordination and assists with backup responsibilities.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of Lincoln Electric’s strategic plan and 2025 Vision.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Minimum of five year’s demonstrated experience for the senior level position preferred.  Previous experience for the Intermediate level position.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong financial acumen (understands cost analysis).
  • Experience with SAP or other database systems required
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and basic skills in Access.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
  • Previous publishing experience for monthly reporting is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with external suppliers.
