PURPOSE: The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for managing the company’s foreign currency (“FX”) exposure and trading program.  This includes consolidation and analysis of FX exposures, execution of FX derivatives to hedge the exposures, and management of the process to value trades and post the related accounting entries.  This position will also assist with interest rate and commodity exposure management as well as other special projects as needed.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate banking partners to execute FX, interest rate, and commodity trades as needed
  • Work with global company contacts within the Lincoln Electric ownership structure to aggregate and analyze FX exposure forecasts
  • Utilize Kyriba treasury management system to establish monthly valuation of FX contracts and create the related accounting entries
  • Establish strategies to minimize monthly gains and losses caused by FX exposure
  • Utilize financial software applications such as FXAll, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv to analyze, execute, and settle trades
  • Manage documentation and compliance requirements related to derivative trading
  • Approve company cash transfers within banking applications and serve as backup for other Treasury processes as needed
  • Work with Treasurer on special projects as required
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Minimum three years of experience working in a corporate treasury organization, a financial institution, or in a corporate finance capacity
  • The combination of academic study and relevant experience will be considered when evaluating the candidate
