Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Shift Supervisor supporting our Euclid Consumables Division. The Shift Supervisor serves as the frontline manager for a team of employees within our flux manufacturing group. This critical role entails positively impacting the lives of our employees on a daily basis by prioritizing safety, quality, teamwork, collaboration, and operational efficiency. The Shift Supervisor holds significant influence in shaping the company’s day-to day operations, including policies, departmental processes, and overall functionality. Additionally, they often serve as the “face” of their department, embodying our organization’s values and fostering strong relationships with those around them.

What You Will Do
As the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, fostering a safe and secure work environment for all employees, while contributing to the team's production goals. Specific responsibilities include:
- Implement and maintain departmental cost control measures to drive cost reductions and optimize resources.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues on the production floor, making timely decisions to minimize disruption.
- Address daily employee relation issues and actively contribute to resolving associate concerns, promoting a positive work environment.
- Maintain and uphold quality standards, always ensuring products excellence.
- Manage personnel movement within the department based on qualifications and restrictions.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify and solve employee concerns, fostering a supportive work environment.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance and Research & Development in implementing and maintaining processes.
- Ensure that company policies are followed and enforce disciplinary guidelines.
- Complete employee evaluations and assist with Merit Rating and hourly personnel merit increases.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of departmental procedures and processes.
- Proficient in implementing strategic cost management initiatives.
- Implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Behavioral Indicators (KBIs) for team excellence.
- Capable in systems best practices, including SAP, time systems, quality control, work-in-process, lean methodologies, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or equally demanding business environment.
- Navigating and resolving complexities involving people, processes, and technology.
- Exceptional coaching and positive motivational skills to inspire and guide employees.
- Ability to assess team needs and adjust team dynamics accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to have difficult conversations when necessary.
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems and implementing continuous improvement for technical or personnel issues to improve processes and procedures.
- Results-oriented mindset, using KPIs and KBIs to measure and analyze performance metrics, set and achieve goals, and drive success.
- Ability to effectively multi-task through ambiguity and shifting priorities, to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
