PURPOSE: The primary function of this position is to actively participate in the implementation and management of multiple systems utilized to administer the educational/training programs and courses offered by the Lincoln Electric Welding Technology and Training Center. This position incumbent will be the Subject Matter Expert on the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System (SIS) utilized by the Welding Technology and Training Center with an understanding of how they interface with other software programs internal and external to the company. 



  • Customize, monitor, oversee and provide customer service for the LMS and SIS.
  • Performs and oversees the daily administration of this system including backup and documentation of changes.
  • Administer all SIS projects, including continued development and SIS integration with other systems and software applications. Consult across departments to implement system enhancements, integration with other systems, and implementation of other software modules, including the intensive analysis of functional requirements, business process and system   mapping, system modeling, initial setup, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and training end-users.
  • Propose and develop enhancements and improvements and other solutions that might be based on business processes, technology, or other resources. Collaborate with the Business on process changes, analyze for potential impact and develop and implement solutions within the SIS.
  • Serves as first point of reference and support to all users externally and internally. Documents issues and resolutions.
  • Monitors, analyzes and records software problems and works closely with Information
    Technology and other designated outside vendors to resolve issues. Tests, troubleshoots, and ensures data and system integrity of all vendor updates, patches, and system modifications.
  • Provides technical support to SIS users with problems such as password reset and access to SIS.
  • Produces financial summaries for Finance reflecting payments and outstanding balances.
  • Ensures SIS system is in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements related to recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Generates monitors and sends communication via SIS.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed in support of Lincoln Electric’s strategic plan.



  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in education or business
  • 3+ years of experience with database software
  • Developed business acumen required with ability to be diplomatic and resourceful with discretion.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management and administrative skills helpful
  • Established communication skills verbally and in writing
  • Familiar with state-of-the-art office software including Microsoft Office programs
