Lincoln Electric is seeking a Business Intelligence Tech Lead who will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a Center of Excellence for reporting within the organization. This role will focus on promoting the adoption of Data Factory, Power BI, nurturing and mentoring internal users, and ensuring consistency and transparency in data and analytics content. The Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize the benefits of self-service BI while reducing risks and technical debt.

What You Will Do:

 

  • Evangelize a Data-Driven Culture: Promote the adoption of analytics and a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Mentor and Educate: Nurture, mentor, guide, and educate internal users to increase their skills and level of self-reliance.
  • Coordinate Efforts: Coordinate efforts and disseminate knowledge across organizational boundaries.
  • Create Consistency: Ensure consistency and transparency for the user community, reducing friction and pain points related to finding relevant data and analytics content.
  • Manage Reporting Systems: Oversee the reporting systems infrastructure and software in accordance with industry standards for software development and systems management.
  • Develop Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for BI tools and processes.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to the internal community of users, helping them make good decisions that increase consistency and result in fewer inefficiencies.
  • Conduct Co-Development Projects: Conduct co-development projects and best practices reviews to actively help business units deliver solutions.
  • Support Governance and Compliance: Ensure governance and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.


Required Experience & Education

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Significant experience in data warehousing and business intelligence.
  • Proficient in SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Flexible and adaptive to ever-changing business needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
