PURPOSE: Our mission is to develop innovative welding solutions & content that empower our Strategic Business Units to produce industry leading products, and enables our Global Sales teams to win in identified market segments.   

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Assist engineers and act as a technical support personnel while performing:
    • applied R&D testing for new process development
    • competitive product analysis
    • developing customer part specific procedures
  • Demonstrate welding solutions for customers or Lincoln personnel with ability to:
    • assemble and stage welding solutions
    • perform manual, semi-automatic, & mechanized welding welds
    • train customers & Lincoln Employees on the proper setup and use of Lincoln Products
  • Install & maintain lab equipment and resources
  • Act as the voice of the customer for Machine and Consumable R&D in the product development process
  • Understand and follow all Lincoln Electric safety practices
  • Occasional travel required (up to 25%)
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Vocational Training and 5 years of experiences or GED with 7+ years of experience in related field
  • Excellent Welding Skills (Testing may be administered).
  • Demonstration of Application Engineering Self-Management Competencies commensurate with engineering level.
  • Familiar with Lincoln product line is a plus
  • Conscientious, accurate, attentive to detail and have a good attendance record
  • Highly motivated, quick to learn and safety focused
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Data Acquisition Systems
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision and instruction
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills including public speaking
