Summary:

 

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineer to support our Additive Manufacturing business at the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters. The Engineer will play a key role in product development, manufacturing, process and system improvement, sales support, and other activities related to the Additive business. Responsibilities:

 

  • Work on the design, specification, and documentation of materials used in additive manufacturing.
  • Work to improve quality and value of additive manufactured parts.
  • Applies engineering and scientific principles in the design and execution of development projects.
  • Establishes and executes standards and methods for product performance evaluation.
  • Develops/ refines test methods to support new product development and standard product evaluations.
  • Facilitates development of manufacturing process capabilities to support introduction of new products.
  • Works with production to resolve robotic print issues.
  • Works with sales to provide assistance to customer inquiries and provide solutions.
  • May provide task oriented direction to Technicians, Technologists, and/or lower level Engineers in the execution of development projects.
  • Maintains records of all work in process and documents interim/final results in the applicable format.

 

Required:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Metallurgy, Software, or Material Science).
  • Minimum 3 years engineering experience.
  • Possesses and applies fundamental engineering and scientific principles, practices and procedures, within the field of specialization, to the completion of assignments.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally while working effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.

 

Preferred

 

  • Experience modeling and drafting in CAD preferred but not required.
