PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the architecture, implementation and maintenance of key applications and databases that support Lincoln Electric.


  1. Work with the business to understand requirements for new applications, upgrades and functionality enhancements.
  2. Configure, deploy, patch and administer Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Servers
  3. Acts to resolve technical issues including network down, intrusion, and performance. Must consistently demonstrate solid analytical and troubleshooting skills
  4. Monitors applications and data bases for potential performance and availability issues
  5. Prepares required documentation to aid in troubleshooting, disaster recovery practices, security initiatives, and cross-training
  6. Experienced with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation
  7. Respond to, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate application and database incidents and problems
  8. Keeps current on new technology through seminars, publications and self-education on an on-going basis
  9. Provide Systems Maintenance request and test plans. This includes making recommendations for standards
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent relevant experience
  2. 5+ years of supporting enterprise data base and application systems
  3. Experience managing and maintaining an Epicor manufacturing business system (Plus)
  4. Understanding and experience in working in a Linux (Red Hat) and Windows environment
  5. Experience with scripting such as Microsoft Powershell, Linux Bash and/or Unix Korn shells are a plus
  6. Experienced in enterprise application management, implementing advanced, complex, and highly available systems across a global environment
  7. Excellent troubleshooting skills
  8. Highly motivated, self-starter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision
  9. Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with on-call
  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training
