Job Responsibilities

  • Unload and issue bar stock to Machine Shop following receiving and inspection operations.With crane, unload bar stock upon delivery to Harris. Stage stock on floor in Machine Shop staging area.  Call the Receiving Clerk to prepare a Receiving Report accepting product.  Call Receiving Inspection to inspect and record the acceptance of the bar stock order.  With crane, lift the bar stock bundles into their respective stock racks. Discard the banding and crating that secured the order.
  • Issue bar stock to machining centers per ZE.  Record on ZE the stock number of count of bars placed at each machine.  Pick up excess stock from previous order, return to stock.
  • With forklift, transport bulk stock delivered through Receiving.  Included are hoses, forgings, gauges, springs, and other bulk items.  Relocate to floor or rack locations within Stock. 
  • Receive all machined parts from Machine Shop to Stock following Q.C. inspection.  Complete Shop Order Receipts documenting interdepartment transfer of parts into Stock locations.  Box, band and palletize bonnets for outside plating operations.  Record part number and quantities on each pallet and forklift the product to Distribution for truck shipment
  • Issue forgings to the Machine Shop from ZE.  From MRP system, determine quantities and locations necessary to fill order.  Record allocation on the ZE.  Remove palletized forgings and deliver to machining center.  In cases where machine storage forbids issue of all parts, place an orange sticker on the racked pallet identifying the order, part number and quantity of forgings allocated.  This identifies the issue for offshifts use.
  • Learn safety and housekeeping rules and standards for work area.  Apply and maintain them.
