Overview and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources – Americas Welding, the Senior Manager, Human Resources will serve as a hands-on leader, within a Generalist capacity, providing support for our Brazilian businesses. This role provides leadership for a team supporting over 500 employees in four manufacturing locations.
HR Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Provide guidance to senior leadership on talent matters.
· Team Management: Provide direction and mentorship to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Implement professional development programs to enhance team skills and career growth, ensuring the HR team is equipped to support organizational goals effectively.
· Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly evaluating HR processes and policies. Implement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.
· Organizational Development: Drive initiatives related to organizational design, development, and change management.
· Employee Relations: Provide support and guidance on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
· Training and Development: Lead training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
· Recruitment and Retention: Partner with Global Talent Acquisition team to manage the recruitment, selection, and retention processes to attract and retain top talent for professional roles. Work with local HR partners to drive recruiting activities for manufacturing roles.
· Compensation and Benefits: Work in partnership with Corporate Total Rewards team to ensure compensation and benefits are competitive and equitable.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to HR practices.
· HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; master’s degree preferred
· Minimum of ten years’ experience in HR/Generalist capacity in a manufacturing environment preferred. Degree & experience combination will be taken into consideration
· Minimum of three years of managerial/leadership experience
· Proven skill promoting collaboration, teamwork and open communication within HR and across departments to achieve common goals and enhance organizational effectiveness
· Demonstrated ability to lead and implement continuous improvement activities which result in streamlined processes, enhanced employee satisfaction, and measurable improvements in HR metrics
· Ability to make sound decisions by analyzing situations, considering various perspectives, and evaluating potential outcomes. Demonstrates a balanced approach to problem-solving, ensuring decisions align with organizational values and objectives.
· Proven track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams
· Ability to lead and manage multiple HR projects from inception to completion
· Demonstrated strong communications skills by effectively coordinating communication with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and leadership
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
· Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems; SuccessFactors preferred
