Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is esponsible for accepting, inspecting, stocking, and transferring deliveries. Must have close attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to use inventory software. 

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform shipping and receiving activities including loading and unloading trucks
  • Properly pack products and materials
  • Count and verify inbound and outbound shipments
  • Select appropriate carriers/truckers to fill needs, both domestic and international
  • Complete all necessary shipping documents
  • Track shipments as needed
  • Perform general shop duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires
     
    REQUIRED SKILLS
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to function in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently without supervision
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks, possess a sense of urgency, be self-directed and self-motivated

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Forklift experience
  • Familiar with SAP, or a comparable ERP system
