Job purpose

Baker Design Group is looking for qualified Modelers, Detailers & Checkers to design GM checking
Fixtures

 

Duties and responsibilities
Modelers:
• Proficient in Unigraphics NX 11
• Ability to develop checking fixture models and to develop 2-D layouts/prints.
• Mechanical aptitude, goo d reasoning and problem solving skills a plus • Understanding of GD&T
• Understanding of automotive checking fixture standards

Checkers:
• Proficient in Unigraphics NX 11
• Ability to check design drawings in NX11 of Checking Fixtures based on GD&T and GM Std.
• Mechanical aptitude, goo d reasoning and problem solving skills a plus • Understanding of GD&T
• Understanding of automotive checking fixture standards

Qualifications:
• Proficient in UG NX 11
• Knowledge of Checking Fixture design (GM Standards a plus) • Ability to work in a team environment
• GD & T knowledge a plus
• Understanding of fabrication, machining, time management, materials, tool assembly and inspection a plus
