PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

Responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.  Continually compare inspection results to predetermined tolerance ranges and take corrective measures and actions if any deviations are found.

           

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specification and quality deliverables.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests;
    • Create reports documenting errors and non-conformances in need of rework.
  • Approves finished products by ensuring products meet customer expectations and specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Create quality measurements to track improvement in products.
  • Maintain standards for reliability and performance of production.
  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools/gauges.
  • Understanding of industry standards.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Meticulous and diligent attributes.
  • Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer competence.
