JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Press Brake Operator to join our team. Under general supervision, the candidate will perform a variety of skilled mechanical tasks on equipment and will perform other duties as required.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run product as needed checking dimensions frequently
  • Complete changeovers and set up tooling for a variety of parts
  • Select the proper tooling depending on material thickness and bend length
  • Adjust and program parameters according to blue print specifications
  • Proactively identify, assess, and in some cases mitigate work place hazards
  • Complete quality inspections of raw material and finished goods
  • Stock finished parts in their respective locations for downstream processes.
  • Work cooperatively in a team environment, maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Provide basic maintenance for equipment, and properly maintain tooling for best performance
  • Participate in company programs including continuous improvement initiatives and physical inventory
  • Operate production support equipment including hoists, cranes, forklifts, etc. (training provided)
  • Fill out and record production and company documentation as required
  • Various other production duties as assigned by department supervisors

 

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of press brake experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Uncompromising attitude toward safety, customer service, and quality
  • Knowledge of and competency using general math
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work with various departments
  • Working knowledge of basic measuring tools (tape measure and calipers)
  • Must be able to read and understand specifications and prints
  • Good hand dexterity is required
  • Ability and willingness to work various tasks/machines to meet production requirements
  • Ability to work Saturdays and overtime, when necessary
     

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, and machinery with moving parts.
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, lift 25 lbs. continuous weight, and stand/walk on concrete floors
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and manipulate various sized materials up to 75 lbs. manually and utilizing lift assist equipment
  • Must be able to accurately process materials up to 75 lbs. using manual positioning and lift assist equipment
