Shipping Coordinator

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The qualified candidate will assist customers, sales, technical support, R&D, and production by providing technical support, application evaluations, prototype equipment testing, documentation reviews, and new equipment installation and training on all Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems products.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize SAP reporting tools to verify the accuracy of LECS Metrics
  • Responsible for ensuring Bills of Lading are correct
  • Maintain Shipping and Receiving records and documentation
  • Work Cross Functionally with multiple departments to provide inventory reporting, resolve inventory issues, and develop support strategies that continuously improve inventory accuracy
  • Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in inventory
  • Ships packages using UPS and FedEx
  • Completes shipping labels for domestic and international shipments
  • Review of purchase documents to ensure they are reflective of the quoted price and quality of the requisition placed with the vendor and handles discrepancies within limitations and scope of authority
  • Maintains a proactive approach to inventory control and advises management of improvements and potential cost savings and order handling efficiencies, etc.
  • Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production, planning, purchasing and sales requirements of shortages
  • Verifies and assists multiple departments with inventory needs, expediting and handling to meet internal and external customer needs.
    • All other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years previous experience
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic CAD drawings
  • Forklift Certified preferred
  • Knowledge General warehouse processes
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Uncompromising attitude toward safety, customer service and quality
  • Must be physically able frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance and stand/walk on concrete floors for long periods of time.

  • Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, and machinery with moving parts.
