Business Unit

To manufacture finished Lincoln Electric Products through the execution of progressive production initiatives and processes ensuring the safety of all plant personnel as well as quality through good manufacturing practices and continuous improvements strategies in accordance with the ongoing business activities of the company, internal priorities and customer requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • To report directly to EHS Services Manager on an on-going basis
  • To maintain accurate records of workplace inspections and enter the workplace inspections into Quest. Assist with the implementation and follow up on all corrective actions
  • To enter First Aids & Recordable incidents into Quest, update all permits and enter Monthly/Quarterly reporting into Quest, import audits into Quest, and enter all corrective actions into Quest
  • To provide general administrative assistance to the EHS team, which can include scheduling meetings, transcribing minutes and managing and organizing file systems
  • Complete purchase requisitions and ordering of EHS supplies
  • Update training matrix
  • To set up all internal/external training across all five facilities for EHS Service Manager to run out (WHMIS, Lockout Tag Out, Spill Response, Forklift, Scissor Lift, and First Aid ECT.)
  • Updating boards & site T.V with safety Info. Prepare and distribute memos, updates, and report to management and relevant departments
  • To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company Global Performance Management Program and Merit Rating System
  • To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company
  • To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • To fully abide and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees. (ISO 90001, 14001 & 50001)
  • To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the EH&S Manager in a timely and professional manner

Position Requirements & Factors

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • 12 grade diploma

 

Minimum Experience & Training Requirement:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work both independently or in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written
