Customer Solutions and Technical Sales Co-op and Internship Programs
Gain real-world experience in the field with Lincoln Electric distribution partners and learn about our product portfolio.
Program details:
- Participants will update customers and distributors on new machine and/or consumable products, recommend new items for distributors to stock, address concerns and questions with distribution partners, promote Lincoln Electric products at distributor Open Houses throughout the region, and assist Technical Sales Representatives with training end users on new products
- Pre-requisite: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program, majoring in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related business field

Engineering Co-op and Internship Programs
Apply technical knowledge, logical problem-solving techniques and a hands-on approach while working independently and with teams, as you support our daily manufacturing operations and drive for innovation.
Program details:
- Chemical Engineering typical activities include: leading cost reduction initiatives, developing new manufacturing processes, assisting in equipment selection and developing cost analyses for manufacturing processes, among others
- Electrical Engineering typical activities include: designing, building and testing new products, developing safety systems for industrial machinery, working with customers on providing solutions, drawing upon sub-disciplines in computer engineering, power electronics, electromagnetics, electronic design (analog and digital), robotics and control systems
- Industrial Engineering typical activities include: designing and improving the way products are produced and delivered, establishing control systems for cost analysis and budget planning, executing quality control processes to resolve issues, and determining how to manufacture products or deliver services with greater efficiency
- Material Science, Metallurgy and Welding Engineering typical activities include: designing and developing new consumables and processes with an emphasis on applied research and focused product development, prototype designs and application development, among others
- Mechanical Engineering typical activities include: assisting with equipment and integrated systems design using Solid Edge, identifying cost reductions, quality and safety improvement, robotics, daily problem solving of technical issues, among others
- Mechatronics Engineering typical activities include: robot and weld gear installation and integration, hard automation equipment integration, leading cost reduction initiatives, developing new integration accessories and packages, assisting in controls and HMI development, and developing documentation around existing or new processes
- Pre-requisite: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level Engineering program, majoring in Computer, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Metallurgy, or Material Science

- Participants will gain experience in global and domestic financial management, quantitative analytical skills, learn to articulate complex financial issues, and provide support based on business goals
- Participants will collaborate with teams in functions such as Corporate Development (mergers & acquisitions), Cost Accounting, Investor Relations or Payroll
- Pre-requisite: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program, majoring in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related business field

Program details:
- Participants will interface with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, Human Resources and Product Management departments, among others
- Typical program assignments may include: innovation review, Patent Review Board support, interacting with outside counsel, maintaining and monitoring domestic and foreign filed patent/trademark dockets, and employee relations support, among others
- Pre-requisite: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline for Intellectual Property positions; all others must be currently enrolled in a graduate level program in an accredited law school
Legal Co-op and Internship Programs
Provide legal support to all facets of our business, domestically and globally.
Program details:
- Participants will interface with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Marketing, Human Resources and Product Management departments, among others

- Typical program assignments may include: marketing communications by creating and distributing posters, brochures, banners and customer surveys; visiting distributors’ sites to gain an enhanced understanding of customer interactions
- Pre-requisite: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program, majoring in Engineering, Marketing, or a related business field
