Project Manager

Position Summary

Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead the successful execution of custom automation and robotic welding projects. This role partners closely with internal leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal teams, external partners, and customer resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with customers and key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress, resources, timelines, and costs.
• Ensure effective resource allocation and project staffing throughout all phases of execution.
• Monitor project performance using established metrics, tools, and reporting methods.
• Manage scope changes, schedules, and budgets through structured change management processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on project success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks, and critical updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage vendor relationships to support project requirements and successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and customer expectations.
• Create, maintain, and distribute project documentation, reports, and records.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of project or program management experience in a manufacturing, automation, or engineered systems environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers.
• Experience managing custom-engineered projects from concept through implementation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, system layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and project financial management.
• Ability to provide leadership and technical direction to project teams.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

• Experience with robotic welding systems, automated manufacturing equipment, or industrial automation solutions.
• Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing operations.
• Experience negotiating and managing contracts, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
