Job Responsibilities

Define and optimize multi‑stage wire drawing schedules and reduction strategies.

Improve line efficiency, stability, speed, and thermal balance across drawing operations.

Lead engineering improvements for lubrication systems, cooling, and die performance.

Establish global wire drawing standards

Optimize metallurgy of wire rod, solid MIG wire, and strip for FCW.

Control microstructure evolution during drawing and heat treatment.

Define requirements for new drawing lines, payoff units, annealers, and forming mills.

Improve die life, tooling materials, and wear management strategies.

Lead integration of sensors, laser gauges, surface scanners, and inline measurement systems.

Support commissioning and upgrades of equipment globally.

Mentor engineers, technologists, and plant leaders worldwide.

Partner with R&D to translate metallurgical theory into scalable production processes.

Support global manufacturing plants with remote and on site expertise.

Lead knowledge sharing programs across regions and product lines.

Job Requirements

MSc or PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

10–15+ years of experience in wire drawing, welding consumables, or high precision metal forming.

Deep metallurgical understanding of low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel alloys, and coating metals.

Proven expertise in solid wire (GMAW/MIG) and flux cored wire (FCAW) process technologies.

Strong capability in failure analysis (SEM, microstructure analysis, EDS, spectroscopy).

Experience working with advanced drawing lubricants, carbide and PCD dies, and inline controls.

Demonstrated ability to influence global standards and mentor technical teams.
