Job Responsibilities

➢ Provide technical support for the team for robotic programming/path planning related activities

➢ Develop and program robotic welding paths to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

➢ Simulate robotic movements and welding sequences to validate fixture designs and optimize production workflows.

➢ Work closely with design engineers to evaluate welding fixture designs and provide feedback for manufacturability and automation suitability.

➢ Conduct feasibility studies and collision detection simulations to prevent errors in the production environment.

➢ Utilize robotic simulation software and offline programming tools to create and test robotic programs before deployment.

➢ Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices for robotic welding applications.

➢ Troubleshoot and optimize robotic welding programs to improve cycle time and quality.

➢ Should functions as a technical point of contact for assigned work package scope

➢ Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant tools and technologies

➢ Should be able to work with 3D Models and computer simulations

➢ Create technical documentation using Microsoft word, Excel, Etc.,

➢ Document programming processes, changes, and improvements for future reference.

➢ Should be able to work productively to ensure the tasks are completed within timeline 

Job Requirements

➢ Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Relevant field

➢ 5-8 years of experience as a mechanical Engineer in robotic cell, robot handling

➢ Experience in robotic programming, specifically for welding applications (Worked with ABB and Fanuc is an added advantage)

➢ Experience in offline programming and real-world deployment of robotic welding systems.

➢ Proficiency in robotic simulation software especially Robostudio and Roboguide

➢ Strong understanding of industrial automation, path planning, and motion control.

➢ Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems.

➢ Familiarity with welding processes, welding parameters, and robotic welding techniques.

➢ Ability to troubleshoot robotic systems and optimize welding processes for quality and efficiency.

➢ Hands on experience in industrial environments, safety protocols and know-how on robots.

➢ Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing.

➢ Certification in any robotic programming /courses is a plus

➢ Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (physics, materials, Standards)

➢ Knowledge in robot trouble shooting

➢ Good knowledge in design of jigs and fixtures and welding

➢ Should have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. ➢ Should have good communication skills
