Job Responsibilities
- Oversee application of cash receipts to customer accounts at invoice level as per process guidelines.
- Ensure vendor payments, bank reconciliations, netting, and cash forecasting are completed accurately and on time by the team.
- Monitor timely communication of status updates, issues, and open items across processes.
- Supervise month-end activities and confirm AR compliance with MEC calendar.
- Ensure adherence to group policies and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Coordinate with Credit, GL, Finance Controllers, and other teams to resolve issues and share best practices.
- Provide domain guidance, support leadership initiatives, and manage team performance (SLA, KPI, appraisals).
- Ensure backups for all critical activities and conduct team meetings, huddles, and one-on-one discussions.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and transformation in partnership with GPO.
- Oversee timely updates of process documents (SOPs, Narratives, RCMs, SODs).
Job Requirements
- Meet the accuracy of cash application and reconciliations
- SLA adherence for AR processes
- Timely completion of month-end close activities (as per MEC calendar)
- Reduction in unapplied cash and open items (as per agreed targets)
- Team performance metrics (attrition, productivity, engagement).
- Meet the corporate timelines for reporting.
- 8 – 10 years in Cash Application, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/team lead role.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting or Commerce
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, AR processes, MEC, and compliance requirements.
