Summary:

 

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Electrical Lab Technician to support our Research and Development (R&D) Commercial Products group. The Commercial Products group assists in the development of new and innovative products for the company. The candidate will use their electrical troubleshooting skill, provide feedback and ideas for improvements to new and current product designs.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work in the Electrical R&D laboratory assisting in the design, construction, documentation and testing of components, assemblies, and products.

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams and technical reference material, understanding and applying the principles used in electronic equipment, communicating effectively with engineers and other technicians, and working autonomously or in a team atmosphere.

  • Performs a set of standardized and/or sequenced electrical testing with general testing equipment (Power supplies, Digital Multimeter, O-Scope, etc.)

  • Prepare and set up components on equipment for testing.

  • Record, extract, and present test data from various sources, process the data finding following a well-defined method.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.

 

Basic Requirements:

 

  • Level II Technician:

            Vocational Training & 3+ years of related experience or,

            High School Diploma or equivalent & 5+ years of experience in related field

  • Electronics experience required, associate degree in electronics preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle a constantly changing set of priorities.

  • Ability to use personal computers and common laboratory equipment.

  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics and test specifications.

  • Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.

  • Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
