Purpose
This position is responsible for the management of global and domestic cross-functional consumables projects to ensure the project deliverables of scope, cost, and time are met through clear communication, coordination, and engagement with global project management tools. The outcome is very specific and measurable.
Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Manage cross-functional consumables projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
- Support engineering teams in development of project plans and timelines to keep projects on-track with time and deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication/collaboration with global stakeholders through project meetings and report outs to management at a standard cadence.
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Identify resource needs, allocation and work with engineering, process groups, and process coordinators to align resources.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to identify and resolve issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure engagement and adherence to global project management tools and structures.
- Support intake of projects and subsequent project activation with management steering committees.
- Support the global product management team with visualization of financial data for project reporting.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the company’s strategies.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field. Engineering degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Welding Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of experience involving projects, product development, or project management.
- Project Management Certification a plus.
- Established project management and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team toward the successful completion of projects.
- Familiarity with project management software and data visualization tools.
- Developed communication skills verbally and written with ability to articulate needs, successes and challenges.
- Experience in PM systems and navigation (Power BI, etc.)
