Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Security Strategy: Executing robust security strategies and protocols safeguarding the company’s assets, personnel, and premises.
- Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management: Identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining vulnerability assessments, security policies and processes, throughout Lincoln Electric’s North America entities to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in areas of physical security, personnel, financial, assets, brand and reputational risks.
- Regulations & Compliance: Supervise and/or support strict adherence to relevant international, corporate and domestic security mandates, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) CFATS regulations, CTPAT, CMMC and international import/export security standards.
- Integrated Physical Security Systems: Coordination in the planning, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of integrated security systems, including alarms, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and physical hardware.
- Liaison & Partnerships: Serve as Lincoln Electric's liaison with federal and local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and private security providers to proactively manage local or regional risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with external partners, including law enforcement and security providers, to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches, fortify security measures and managing incidents effectively. Partner with local and regional (EHS, Legal, HR, IT/Cybersecurity, and Facility Operations) to ensure security initiatives align with corporate compliance, environmental health, and safety standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Directing and mentoring a team of security professionals, encompassing recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Emergency Response Preparedness: Coordinating with pertinent stakeholders to formulate and update emergency response, plans and protocols. Proficiency in emergency response and incident command.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, International Relations OR 12+ years of security management experience required
- 10+ years of security management/supervisory experience required.
- Experience managing multiple sites including international, preferred.
- Proven ability to lead projects, fostering collaboration across departments, working closely with IT, HR, and other key areas to ensure a holistic approach to security.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of navigating diverse cultural landscapes and international regulatory environments.
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate global threat vectors, develop complex mitigation strategies, and make high-stakes, data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute clarity of thought, exercise rational decision-making, and command authority during high-stress emergency scenarios.
- Deep knowledge of security-related compliance frameworks (CFATS, OSHA, EPA) and basic familiarity with international trade, anti-corruption, and data privacy regulations.
- Absolute discretion when handling sensitive, proprietary, and highly confidential corporate and personnel information.
