PURPOSE FOR THE SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER: Primary responsibilities are to support the Business Unit Director to coordinate strategic activities, lead team members within the group to develop products and solutions that are aligned with the business unit strategy.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Subject Matter Expertise – Exhibit an in-depth understanding of assigned product line.
- Product Line Ownership – Develop a 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year strategic business plan that includes an strong understanding of the market, the competition, market needs and trends, new product development, mature product promotion, and maintenance of assigned product line.
- New Product Development – Create the roadmap for new product development, lead and coordinate R&D activities to support this roadmap.
- Market Research – Analyze the market to understand trends and develop strategies to capitalize on profitable growth.
- Mentorship – Coach and mentor Associate Product Managers and Product Managers to develop capabilities and drive individual and team growth plans.
- New Product Launches – Create launch strategies and commercially implement with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.
- Product Marketing - Support the development and review of marketing materials.
- Electric Vehicle and DC Charging Acumen – Understanding of Electric Vehicle charging practices and procedures required.
- Financial Analysis – Strong financial acumen to monitor portfolio performance and make strategic decisions to enhance performance of the product line.
- Sales Channel Support – Provides support to commercial team and customers through all channels to monitor and grow sales.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Product Management. Equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- 5+ Years of Electric Vehicle Industry and related products and procedures experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively lead others, set and adhere to deadlines, and develop solutions to grow sales
- Ability to influence and coach team members to drive individual and team development
- Ability to communicate strategic vision to cross functional disciplines including Sales, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Planning, and Customer Service
- Demonstrate a strong business acumen or the desire to learn relatively quickly
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to research the market, analyze customer requirements, and formulate plans for product enhancements and new product development
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and SAP
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
