Purpose
The Senior Product Manager, Alloys & Aluminum, Americas is an experienced professional that leads our stainless, nickel, chrome-moly and aluminum welding consumable product categories. They focus on developing and aligning product line strategies to the broader consumables portfolio’s objectives. This individual is responsible for the mature product portfolio, strategy, and roadmap execution for these product categories across the Americas region (north, central and south america) and serves as a key resource for engineering, sales, operations and the broader product management organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Product Line Strategy & Roadmap Execution - Develop and own the 5 year strategic roadmap for the alloys & aluminum product lines, ensuring alignment with the Americas Consumables portfolio objectives. Identify opportunities for new product introductions, product line expansions, technology advancements and manufacturing location optimizations.
Financial Performance - Monitor and drive category-level revenue, pricing, and profitability of new products to contribute 1.5% incremental sales growth annually. Manage the alloys & aluminum consumable mature product portfolio to achieve MSD % improvements of annual revenue, profitability and working capital annually.
Product Lifecycle Management - Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle across the alloys & aluminum product lines. Make data-driven decisions on feature prioritization, product improvements, and discontinuations. Work closely with engineering and operations to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Cross-Functional Coordination - Partners with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and sales teams to ensure operational readiness.
Customer & Competitive Insights – Partner with market intelligence team to conduct in-depth customer research to validate market needs and guide product development. Track competitor activities and emerging trends within the target markets.
Subject Matter Expertise - recognized as an expert and advisor within the organization on alloy and aluminum welding consumables and the product management function. Anticipates internal and external business challenges; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on business. Contributes to the development of functional strategy. Leads teams or projects with broad visibility to achieve milestones and objectives. Operates with broad latitude in a complex environment

Basic Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management or related functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong experience in product line strategy, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
- Ability to manage commercial aspects of the product line while also overseeing operational considerations that impact the financial performance of the product line.
