Summary
Lincoln Electric has a terrific opportunity for a Setup Supervisor supporting our Flux production department. The Setup Supervisor will work with Flux employees, in an instructional manner that will continuously improve their skills and job knowledge. You will play set-up, maintain, and troubleshoot processing equipment in Department 37, reporting directly to the Flux Operations Manager.

What You Will Do
- Work with Flux employees, in an instructional manner that will continuously improve their skills and job knowledge:
- Promotes a positive work environment and willingly shares process knowledge.
- Embraces and helps roll out safety initiatives.
- Keep the production lines running safely and efficiently and minimize downtime related to mechanical or electrical problems:
- Work with the Operators to reduce fines and rework generation related to set-up problems.
- Encourage usage of inventory of flux fines and rework on manufacturing lines.
- Resolve problems that are related to the control of carbon, alkalinity, moisture, and particle size.
- Assist the Operators in determining when parts need changing because of excessive wear.
- Assist on changeovers by verifying the line is properly changed over by following the changeover checklist and inspection.
What You Will Do, Continued
- Maintain classifying equipment:
- Troubleshoot classifier problems and assist or direct corrective actions.
- Train Chemical Processors, Specialty Chemical Processors, Flux Operators, and others the correct procedures for changing screens and other consumable items in classifiers.
- Maintain milling equipment:
- Troubleshoot milling problems and assist or direct corrective actions.
- Train Chemical Processors to operate and monitor milling equipment correctly.
- Perform routine maintenance functions throughout department:
- Maintain cooling kiln discharge water settling basin.
- Perform routine inspections and ensure proper setup of the flux baggers and palletizers as required.
- Support and assist Utility in maintaining dust collectors in Departments 37/29.
- Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, EW Specifications, SSW Specifications, and Plant Rules and Regulations that are associated with the performance of this job.
- Obey all safety rules, maintain the cleanliness of the work area and perform other duties as assigned by the Flux Operations Manager.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s RISE Strategy.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma/GED with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious.
- Must work dependably in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to read, write and do general math well enough to keep the records associated with this job.
- Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
- Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. periodically.
- Must be able to perform strenuous work in confined spaces while wearing a half- or full-face respirator.
- Must have experience with all operations in the Process Chemical Department and the Flux Department.
