Position Overview
To unload, transport, and stock all chemical raw materials and packaging supplies in the Euclid Consumables Division. To handle finished goods and move them from manufacturing point to the Shipping Department. This position reports to the Supervisor or Material Control Lead.
Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks associated with this job safely and in compliance with Plant Rules and Regulations. Work to improve the safety of all company employees.
- Understand and comply with requirements of the Job Hazard Analysis for this job.
- Understand and follow all quality specifications and procedures relevant to this job.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Material Control Lead.
Skills, Aptitude, and Abilities
- Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and must work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to read, write and do general math well enough to keep the records associated with this job.
- Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Must be proficient at operating a Fork Lift Truck and a 6-ton bridge crane.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.

Quality
- Understand the Company's Quality Policy and the relevance and importance of the quality activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.
- Be aware of and follow the appropriate EW and SSW Specifications, Permission Notes, Special Orders Instructions, and department instructions that govern the manufacture of the electrode being produced.
Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS)
- Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
- Be aware of OSHA and EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
- Work in a safe manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
- Follow safe equipment operating procedures and only operate equipment when guards are in place and in good condition.
- Know that the company EHS procedures are contained in SAP and also in reference books, such as, SSW
- Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). SDS are located near security and also available electronically in the Supervisor's area.
- Immediately notify the Supervisor or the Material Control Lead if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
- PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT – Follow the personal protective equipment policy detailed in Plant Rules & Regulations EHS560 & EHS580.
Training
As directed by the Supervisor, in conjunction with the Material Control Lead and experienced personnel. The Supervisor shall ensure that the employee receives the following training at the appropriate times:
1. Reference SSW1028-J-0 for minimum requirements
2. Reference RE150-MFGSUP for safety training requirements
The Supervisor determines when an individual meets the minimum training requirements to perform this job.
