Job Responsibilities

Position Summary:  

The purpose of the Water Spider position is to minimize disruption and variation for employees assembling machines, allowing them to focus on productivity.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain a parts supermarket for assembly work centers/lines.
  • Maintain required stock levels and inventory accuracy.
  • Supply quality parts and kits for uninterrupted production.
  • Generate and schedule daily shortage reports.
  • Assist with unloading/receiving, as necessary
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, QA, and R&D.
  • Collect, display, and communicate production visuals.
  • Elevate issues causing production interruptions.
  • Verify non-conforming scrap and post results.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support 5S, quality, new products, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to supervise production inventory.
  • Lean manufacturing and 5S knowledge.
  • Willingness to complete Six Sigma training.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (infrequent) and 20 lbs (repetitive).

 

 

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

  • Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job.
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job.
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures.
  • Know that the company EHS procedures are located on the ISO drive.
  • Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures.
  • Attend required EHS training
